The Problem with After
After , or how to romanthize toxic relationships. After , the widely (and disgracefuly) known saga, has just obtained a film adaptation, not without its polemic. The books tell the story about a teenage couple which has a toxic relationship, which would not be a problem itself, if the book didin`t romanthize the type of relationship they have, saying that every relationship has its hardships . Thousands of teenage girls and boys are reading, now watching, and learning a type of personal relationship which, sadly, they`re gonna imitate. Taking this in account, is it really worthy the money the author is gonna make in exchange of possibly ruining some childs` lives? Of course not. Although Anna Todd recognizes that some parts of her story are unnecesary, she still pushes to the audience that if they imitate something they saw on the book, it`s not her fault.
